Geoff Cutter

Not many were as decorated of a student-athlete as Geoff Cutter was at Milan High School and his 11 varsity letters spanning sports of all seasons is certainly proof. But Indian fans were dazzled by Cutter's ability on the basketball court.

Cutter racked up points and awards during his career in black and gold.

Geoff would help lead Milan to a sectional runner-up finish to Batesville in 1976 and then serve as team captain his junior and senior years in 1977 and 1978. By the end of his career, he had racked up over 800 career points, which ranked him third all-time on the school's career scoring list upon his graduation while also racking up top honors as a team assist leader. His career-best scoring night was marked by 28 points. Cutter would also go on to be named to the All-County team twice and was a two time All-Sectional pick. Opponents and opposing coaches alike noted Geoff's ability as a scorer and called him one of the toughest to prepare for, whether in the regular season or postseason.

Geoff landed several offers to continue careers in football, tennis and basketball at several colleges across the country. He would receive an appointment to attend the United States Air Force Academy to play football before landing at the University of Dubuque in Iowa to play both tennis and basketball. His 1980-1981 Dubuque basketball team competed in the NCAA Division III National Tournament prior to the team's induction into the Dubuque Athletics Hall of Fame.
