Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame
Larry Bauman
Over 50 years have passed since Larry Bauman led the Sunman Tigers in some great basketball. As a senior in 1963, Larry led his team to a Ripley County Championship, the first one for the Tigers in nearly 20 years having last taken the title in 1945.

Larry anchored the forward / center position and was a two-year starter for Sunman. As a junior, Larry was named the team's Most Valuable Player and was named to the All-Sectional team after filling the nets for 46 points in two tournament games. As a senior and for the second year in a row, Larry led his Sunman squad in rebounding and scoring upping his points per game average to 17.5. And for the second year, Larry was awarded the team's MVP.

Larry and his wife of 54 years, Bertie, are the proud parents of six children: Ricky, Randy, Melissa, Mindy, Crystal and Christina. In addition to being a farmer, Larry was an employee of Hill-Rom in Batesville for many years. Larry and Bertie still live on the family farm near Sunman.

Welcome Larry Bauman to the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2018!
